FLOURISH: the retreat

Lake Atitlán, Guatemala

March 6-13, 2027

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anaïs Nin

Flourish is built for people who take their inner work seriously — but not themselves. This is for the responsible ones: the leaders, the doers, the creators, the care-takers, the visionaries — the ones already doing the work — who are ready to go deeper, get uncomfortable, and still leave room to play. You're the type who comes to a retreat for the land, the culture, the community, AND the stellar itinerary. You show up, say yes to the unfamiliar, feel gratitude easily, and lean toward people in a room instead of away from them. You often hold space for others, and you appreciate retreats where you finally get to be held, and are also around like-minded people who value depth, as much as levity. You are down for a powerful somatic breathwork session as much as a playful improv theatre experience.

Join us in Lake Atitlán, Guatemala!

March 6-13, 2027

Mornings are held for practice — DRM sessions that open not only the body, but the mind — making space for the physical, mental, and emotional work of the week to unfold at its own pace. The rest of the day opens outward: guided excursions into the villages, markets, and volcanic terrain around the lake, time with local culture, craft, and ceremony — and plenty of room for connection and play with the group. Some evenings are left open to rest; others bring everyone back together for deeper, workshop-style sessions or playful experiences where the week's unfolding has time to settle and integrate.

PURE MAGIC! This was was hands down the best things I did for myself in 2017. Not only did I get to experience a completely magical part of the world with an incredible group of people, I also got to practice yoga and do some meaningful leadership and personal development work with one of my favorite mentors, Amber Campion. I’ve now been on three retreats with Amber and it’s clear that she puts her heart and soul into these trips and cares deeply about delivering a transformational experience to all who attend. I loved the intimate size of our group and connecting with other inspirational changemakers who are out there breaking molds and living a life they are passionate about. At the time of this retreat, I had recently started a new business, was in the midst of purchasing my first home, and was in a bit of a transitional time in my life. Amber helped me to get clear on a lot of my goals and helped me to transition into this new chapter of my life with a toolbox of knowledge that has proven to be very valuable. Amber and here team did an incredible job organizing this trip. As someone who organizes yoga retreats for a living, I know the amount of work that goes into providing a seamless travel experience, and they went above and beyond for all of us. Thank you for an incredible experience! I can’t wait to attend another retreat with you in the future!

Amber’s retreats are an exciting, organized, comfortable and safe way to travel. Meeting incredible people is definitely one of the highlights, I made friends for life! The atmosphere is one of acceptance and love. Amber’s teachings are extremely powerful to help us on our path of truth and happiness. She guided us through an unbelievable experience; I ended the journey a new person. I’m looking forward to next year’s destination!

Exploring Guatemala

San Juan

the highlands of Guatemala.

Our journey begins with an overnight stay in the colonial city of Antigua, a UNESCO world heritage site, where our community will gather and connect for the first time. You'll have time to explore the unique architecture, rooftop restaurants, and boutiques of Antigua prior to meeting up for a welcome dinner that evening. We highly recommend coming in a night early, if you can, to enjoy even more time in this city!

On day 2, we will make our way to Isla Verde, a lakefront retreat center with a relaxing bohemian vibe, and stunning views of Lake Atitlan. Once there, you will have ample opportunity to experience the Mayan culture of Lake Atitlan, connect with nature, practice in community, and create your own adventure.

Our time together will include exquisite yoga + transformational workshops with me, locally sourced meals, two included cultural and active excursions, a service project at a local school, a Mayan Fire Ceremony, and plenty of time for you to relax and recharge amongst the lush grounds of Isla Verde and Lake Atitlan. Our retreat center features a lakefront hot tub, temazcal sauna, and restaurant / lounge area, all available for you to enjoy!

The Experience

Nature

Lake Atitlan is a magical, 50 square mile, crater lake located in south-east Guatemala. At its deepest point, it’s over 1,100 feet! It’s approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Guatemala City and 2 hours from the beautiful colonial city of Antigua. Surrounded by majestic volcanoes and cultural Mayan villages, Lake Atitlan is the perfect place to disconnect, explore, and open your heart and perspective to what could be.

The climate at Lake Atitlan is also perfection, and incredibly complimentary for yoga classes, as well as outdoor adventuring. From January - April, daytime highs average a comfortable 75 - 80 degrees. Evenings are cooler, with temperatures in the low 60’s / high 50’s, perfect for sleeping. At a mile high in altitude, warm days of swimming and exploring are followed by cool nights in flannels by the fire, or relaxing in the wood-fired sauna.

Culture

There are endless ways to embrace the culture on this retreat. We will be including a trip to the cultural village of San Juan with a demonstration at a women's weaving cooperative. A guided hike to San Marcos and entrance to Cerro Tzankujil Nature Reserve, where we will spend the afternoon lounging lakeside + time for town exploration. A service project with a local school and a Mayan fire ceremony.

The classes + Workshops

Yoga + Transformational Workshops

Our workshops will be rich, meaningful, and deep. They will range from yoga classes (Dynamic Release Method), breathwork, and experiential, human relating practices to connect deeper with your truth and build radical connection (with self and others). And THIS image is our studio space for the week!

I would travel far and wide to take class with you again. I’ve never met a teacher who has come close to the magnificence, presence, skill, and art of your classes.
— ELISHA SOPHIA, YOGA TEACHER & HEALING FOOD CHEF
